Staying: Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Flamini, Abou Diaby.
Going: Mikel Arteta, Kim Kallstrom.
Coming in: Lars Bender (Sun).
Central midfield is a real area of talent for the north London outfit, but it is also somewhere that lacks balance and has been a real problem at times.
Vice-captain Arteta looks lost in the position and could well be on his way, whilst the bizarre loan signing of Kallstrom will end this summer.
As much as the club would probably want Diaby off the wage bill no one will sign the injury wrought Frenchman, whilst Ramsey and Wilshere are real talents.
What the side needs is a ball playing midfielder who has defensive nous and would compliment either of the two above and Bayer Leverkusen’s Bender would be ideal for that role.
