Rafa Benitez (2004-2010)
The Spaniard cemented his place in Anfield history by delivering the club their fifth European Cup success with an amazing turnaround in Istanbul.
However, success was in short supply after an FA Cup win in 2006 and Benitez could never get his side over the finishing line despite some very near misses with the Premier League title.
