How the Reds could be lining up next season.
The 2013/14 Premier League season was a superb return to form for Liverpool and despite losing out on the title to Manchester City, there are many positives to be taken.
Brendan Rodgers managed to take his side from seventh at the end of 2012/13 to second in just 12 months and therefore a return to Champions League football for the first time since 2009.
However, many have said that if the Reds are to compete in four different competitions next term then they will need to strengthen their squad and the £4m arrival of Rickie Lambert from Southampton is expected to be just the start of a busy summer for the club.
So here is how Rodgers’ starting XI could look in 2014/15 if he signs all his targets.
GK – Simon Mignolet
Despite the fact the Belgian had his critics last season following a £9m switch from Sunderland, the manager is big fan of the 26-year-old.
Pepe Reina’s time at Anfield appears to have come to an end and the Spaniard is likely to be sold, but Rodgers will want competition for Mignolet between the sticks.
