Seamus Coleman, Everton
Admittedly Moyes’ last venture to sign a player from his former club didn’t go that well, as Fellaini’s £27.5m move from the Toffees has been largely disappointing.
Yet with Chris Smalling poor as a right-back and Phil Jones likely to be needed more and more in the centre when Ferdinand and Vidic leave, the right side of defence is a priority.
Moyes bought the then unknown Coleman to Goodison Park in 2009, but it’s this term under Roberto Martinez that the Irishman has really flourished and looks to be a top-class talent.
