Staying: Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher.
Going: Ryan Giggs, Tom Cleverley, Anderson.
Coming: William Carvalho (Mirror).
This has really been the area that has let the side down this term as nobody in the centre of the park seems to able to provide what is required.
Fellaini’s £27.5m transfer is widely regarded as a disaster, but the Belgian did have something at Goodison Park and the new manager could well rediscover that potential.
Carrick and Fletcher are experienced heads and will probably stay, whilst Giggs’ coaching duties will probably see the 40-year-old’s playing days finish.
As for Cleverley, he really has been too uninspiring and Anderson is a disaster, whilst the long running transfer saga involving Sporting Lisbon’s Carvalho should be completed.
