The Argentine will look to put his own stamp on the squad as soon as possible.
On Tuesday Tottenham Hotspur announced that former Southampton boss Mauricio Pocettino would be Tim Sherwood’s successor.
Having sacked two managers in the past season chairman Daniel Levy will be expecting immediate results from the Argentine and therefore Pochettino needs to identify how the Spurs squad needs to be improved as quickly as possible.
So here is what could happen this summer.

In an ideal world Hugo Lloris would stay at White Hart Lane and either veteran Brad Freidel would stay on for one more year as cover, or a younger stopper would come in such as Nottingham Forest’s Karl Darlow, as reports the Mirror.
Yet with speculation rife that Lloris wants to be playing Champions League football next term Le10Sport says Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma are closing in on the France captain.
Therefore several names have been linked as the 27-year-old’s replacement, from West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster (Mirror), Fraser Forster of Celtic (Daily Mail) and even Chelsea No.1 Petr Cech (Mirror).
Heurelho Gomes has also been released.
