Chelsea and Manchester City are set to go head-to-head for Juventus’s renowned midfielder dynamo Arturo Vidal this summer, reports Football Direct News.
Earlier in the season, the Chilean sensation told Bild magazine that nobody on the planet fulfilled his position as well he does.
“I my role I am the best in the world.” he said.
“Many try to imitate my style, but I want to say one thing – I’m the best in the world.
“In my role, no one defends like me or scores as many goals as me.”
Vidal arguably has a point. This term with the consecutive Serie A champions, the 26-year-old has scored 18 in all competitions, assisting five goals as well.
As a result of his excellent form, the mega rich Premier League rivals want to beat each other to his signature.
Chelsea bought Nemanja Matic in January, but reportedly want another dynamic player with creative ability to play alongside him. City’s boss Manuel Pellegrini is Chilean though, which may give the Sky Blues the upper hand in their pursuit of the midfielder.
For Juve to even consider selling though, a club would have to make a pretty ludicrous offer for his services, and it’s more than likely that he’ll remain with the Italian champions.
