Monaco have recruited Sergio Romero to start between the sticks…
Newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Monaco have continued their summer spending by signing Sampdoria’s Argentinian keeper Sergio Romero, reports Goal.
The 26-year-old stopper is the latest Monaco recruit. The club have already spent way over £100m this summer, on the likes of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez, and will hoping to qualify for the Champions League as soon as possible.

The keeper also starts for the wonderful Argentina side that will be one of the favorites for next summer’s World Cup. Romero has weak distribution and is prone to receiving a yellow card, but is a brilliant shot stopper.
Whether Claudio Ranieri can successfully manage the big names he now has at his disposal is yet to be seen. The provincial club won their opening league match away at Bordeaux 2-0, with £53, signings Falcao bagging on his debut.
