But a young side, spearheaded by Harry Kane, suggested that they could make another assault on the top four next term if they were to add quality, and keep their best players, in the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old is a shrewd purchase at only £3.5m. He is a solid defender and excellent attacking outlet, and he should get the nod over Kyle Walker, who had fitness and form issues in 2014-15.
