Former Fiorentina ace expected to replace Tottenham-bound Lamela.
Adem Ljajic has posted a photograph on his official Facebook page of him signing his contract with new club Roma.
The 21-year-old is likely to have his move officially announced by the club in the next few hours, with reports suggesting the Giallorossi have paid around €11m for the youngster, with performance-related bonuses likely to see that figure rise to €13m.
AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham had all been rumoured to have been monitoring his situation, with the Rossoneri seeing an €8m bid rejected last month.
While Adriano Galliani has revealed he holds no grudges after tense relations between the two clubs ensured Ljajic was unable to move to San Siro, Ljajic’s arrival in the capital is expected to see Erik Lamela complete his move to Tottenham.
According to respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Argentinian will fly to London tomorrow to undergo his medical, with Ljajic being handed the responsibility of replacing him in the starting line-up.
His arrival is likely to ease some of the frustration of the Roma supporters, who have now seen Marquinhos, Pablo Osvaldo and inevitably Lamela all sold this summer.
However, new boss Rudi Garcia got off to an ideal start with the 2-0 win over Livorno on Sunday, and with the likes of Kevin Strootman and Gervinho also set to be added to the equation, the capital club will have high hopes for the season ahead.
