Young Brit trains with Klitschko looking to continue learning and improve…
Anthony Joshua has travelled to Austria this week and spent time training with undisputed heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko ahead of his next bout.
The 24-year-old has won all seven of his pro fights to date and has dispatched of all of his opponents in two rounds or less, but he is still learning and will have taken a lot from the training session with Klitschko.
The Ukrainian is next in action on September 6 when he defends his titles against Kubrat Pulev, and although there was social media talk of the pair meeting in the ring one day, it is highly unlikely that the 38-year-old will still be around by the time Joshua has worked his way up through the rankings.
Nevertheless, it would have been an invaluable experience for the Brit who is scheduled to fight on October 11 in Manchester with speculation suggesting that he will face two-time Prizefighter champion Michael Sprott.
Meanwhile, it is highly likely that Klitschko was merely relieved that old friend Shannon Briggs didn’t make an appearance…
