England midfielder Jack Wilshere hopeful of big performance against Montenegro and Ukraine after equalising goal for Arsenal in West Bromwich Albion match.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has put the furore surrounding his smoking behind him.
The Gunners star had a disastrous first half against West Bromwich Albion, but avoided being the subject of tabloid criticism by salvaging a point for his side in the second half with a fine strike from the edge of the area.
The 21 year-old now joins up with the England national team for their two FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying games against Montenegro and Poland, and will likely be one of the first names on the team sheet despite a poor performance in his last outing against Ukraine.
Wilshere tweeted of his excitement upon arriving at the England training camp at St George’s Park.
Just met up with England at SGP!! Get that same feeling every time! Big games time to focus! pic.twitter.com/5j54jVO8f5
