It is not every day that you see 34 man arm-in-arm together after spending the previous 80 minutes belting the hell out of each – deep in pray.
But that is exactly what fans got to see after the Australians beat Fiji 34-2 in the latest round of the Rugby League World Cup.
While it is a common practice for Polynesian sides to pray together after a game, it is a first for the Australian players, with lock Paul Gallen saying it was a good experience.
While it helps there are several NRL stars in the Fiji side as well, it is a nice change of pace in professional sports.
