The Spaniard harks back to the shocking loss of a countryman.
On August 8 2009 Espanyol defender Daniel Jarque suffered a heart attack and died aged 26 and on the fourth anniversary of that date Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has relived his tribute.
Fabregas played with Jarque for the Spain under-21 national side and after scoring in Arsenal’s 6-1 win over Everton, the midfielder held a shirt printed with his friend and countryman’s name aloft.
Four years on from the defender’s shock death and the 26-year-old – now at Barca after a transfer from the Gunners in 2011 – has published that tribute on the date Jarque died.
