Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa comes off injured against FC Barcelona, with Chelsea watching the situation carefully ahead of his impending Stamford Bridge transfer.
Atletico Madrid are currently playing FC Barcelona in La Liga in the deciding game in the Spanish title race, but it has not started ideally for the capital side.
Two of their best players have gone off injured, with both Diego Costa and Arda Turan having to leave the action early in the first half.
Both men were left in tears after being hauled off, and their participation in their final goal of the season – the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid – has to now be in doubt.
Diego Costa has been regularly linked with a Chelsea transfer, with some sources suggesting that a deal was as good as completed.
Persistent hamstring issues over the past few weeks are a cause for concern for his current side Atleti, his future club at Stamford Bridge, and his adopted national team of Spain ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
