England boss Roy Hodgson selects attacking line-up to face Montenegro at Wembley Stadium in FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifier, but drops Arsenal man Jack Wilshere.
England manager Roy Hodgson has selected an immensely attacking side to face Montenegro at Wembley Stadium in the Three Lions’ penultimate qualification match for FIFA World Cup 2014.
Hodgson gives Andros Townsend his first start for the side, with the Tottenham Hotspur winger performing highly impressively for his club so far this season and keeping Erik Lamela out the side.
Kyle Walker gets the nod ahead of Phil Jones at right back, whilst Jack Wilshere drops out of the starting XI after a poor performance against Ukraine. Additionally, given the increased pressure and scrutiny around the Arsenal man following his comments on nationality, perhaps Hodgson has decided to take him out the firing line.
