No denying ‘Money’ Mayweather can read numbers from recent pay-days…
Floyd Mayweather has hit back with a hilarious tweet after he was mocked online for an audio clip in which he seemingly struggles to read a short and simple text on a radio show.
Power 105 DJ Charlamagne Tha God played an audio clip on Friday which recorded the unbeaten American boxer struggling to read, sparking widespread mockery and criticism on social media networks.
The 37-year-old is in training camp ahead of his next bout against Marcos Maidana on September 13, as he looks to improve on his record of 46-0.
However, he hasn’t lost his sense of humour as he responded to the jibes with a brilliant tweet which asks his followers, and haters, to read his recent cheques which act as a reminder as to how rich he is.
While rapper 50 Cent has challenged Mayweather to read a page of a Harry Potter book after which he will make a significant donation to a charity of his choice, he jokingly suggested that ‘Cat in the Hat’ would be more appropriate.
Nevertheless, the tweet below from Mayweather pretty much ends the conversation with Forbes revealing he earned $105m last year, making him the highest-paid athlete in the world.
