The Titans are seething over a Tweet from the Warriors official account during its 42-0 loss on Sunday.

The Gold Coast Titans have been left seething after a low-blow from the New Zealand Warriors official Twitter account during its 42-0 loss on Sunday.

Titans co-captain Greg Bird and Warriors winger Ngani Laumape were both put on report after an incident in the 55th minute of the clash.

Moments after the scrap, the Warriors tweeted: “Bird…more like grub” to its 53,000 followers.

Gold Coast media manager Neil Cadigan told the Sydney Morning Herald the tweet had crossed the line.

“I’m all for club tweets being parochial and clever but perhaps that crossed the line a bit – it’s personal and the refs saw little in the incident.”
