On Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning threw his 509th career TD pass, making him the NFL’s all-time leader in passing TDs. Naturally, just about every major news outlet in the country needed to mention it.
That included Seattle’s KOMO, who had a graphic of their own to celebrate:
Big ups to Gary Payton for breaking Brett Favre’s record last night. [Wait a second…] pic.twitter.com/aUcAUBCHg9

Umm…. that doesn’t seem right. The station told viewers via a graphic that Brett Favre’s record for most career touchdown passes was broken by Gary Payton, one of the greatest point guards in NBA history – but certainly not an NFL player.
The two men don’t even have the same spelling of the name “Peyton”, let alone the same skin tone.
…sigh… The day Peyton Manning can’t even find a news source that knows what he looks like means he clearly hasn’t been doing enough commercials.
