George suffered a lower leg fracture after collision with backboard stanchion…
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has led the well-wishes for Paul George after the Team USA ace suffered a broken leg during an exhibition game.
George took to Twitter to assure his family, friends and supporters that he intends on returning stronger than ever after the injury, and in turn he has received messages from around the NBA.
James led the way with his tribute on Instagram, and despite their intense rivalry over the past three years in the Eastern Conference, it is clear that the former Miami Heat star has a significant amount of respect for his adversary.
Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski made an announcement that the rest of the scrimmage wouldn’t be played after George was taken off the court on a stretcher, and spoke of the “brotherhood” within the NBA that shows its heart in moments like this.
James added: “Hurt my stomach the moment I heard the news! I didn’t want to believe it. Man I need u out there bro! Get well and have a speedy recovery PG24! #DamnIt #YoungKing #StriveForGreatness”
