James apologises for recent uproar after opting to return to Cleveland.
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has sent cupcakes to his neighbours in Akron as a way of apologising to them for the recent media attention.
With a constant stream of news vans, reporters and fans surrounding his house in his hometown, James felt it was only right to apologise to his community for the attention he has brought upon them by deciding to leave the Miami Heat to return home.
As shown in the image below, the cupcakes are accompanied by a long note from the James’ which apologises for the chaos but reminds their nearest and dearest that they are thankful for having such understanding neighbours.
The cupcakes clearly went down a treat as various people posted images and thank you notes of their own on Twitter, and it appears as though this story will have a happy ending after James spent four years in Miami during which he received a difficult time from his former fans.
Nevertheless, by returning, the Cavaliers have a genuine opportunity to win a championship next season and are continuing to make changes to the roster in order to put themselves and James in the best possible position to realise that dream.
Thanks @KingJames #LeBronJames for hooking @WMSMTH and my parents up with the cupcakes 🙂 welcome home! pic.twitter.com/Nc85CSuxfV
