James’ new diet could be for longevity or hint at change in role next season…
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has reportedly cut carbs out of his diet this summer and as a result he is looking much thinner.
Aside from his detractors coming up with all sorts of reasons behind the weight loss, two theories that are generally considered legitimate at this stage are that he is either looking to add longevity to his career by losing weight which in turn would put less stress on his lower body.
The other explanation that has gathered significant coverage is the possibility that James is adjusting to being put back in as a small forward given the likely arrival of Kevin Love to play the bulk of minutes at power forward.
James has bulked up throughout his career in order to play both positions, but ultimately with his change in circumstances this summer, he is arguably thinking ahead already and getting himself into prime shape prior to what is promising to be an exciting season for Cleveland.
