Cavs have daunting roster ahead of new season and are now favourites for title…
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has welcomed new team-mate Kevin Love to the franchise as the pair eye winning an NBA championship next season.
The 25-year-old finally secured his trade move from the Minnesota Timberwolves after months of speculation, and after Andrew Wiggins became eligible for trade following the 30-day waiting period after signing his rookie contract with the Cavs.
Nevertheless, with the deal now official, James took to Instagram to share an image of Cleveland’s new starting five, and it will be a daunting sight for their Eastern Conference rivals in particular as they look to make an immediate impact.
James, Love and point guard Kyrie Irving form part of a new ‘Big Three’, and with Anderson Varejao and Dion Waiters completing the line-up, the Cavs have been installed as the favourites to win an NBA championship next season.
They will likely face stiff competition from the Chicago Bulls who added Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic this off-season, and despite the likes of the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards expected to continue their improvements, it looks as though Cleveland will be the team to beat.
