Barcelona star Lionel Messi attended the NBA game between the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night along with his national teammates.
The Argentine national squad are in Washington ahead of their friendly against El Salvador on Saturday, and they took their chance to attend an NBA game between the two rivals in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers came out on top behind 29 points from point guard George Hill, while John Wall responded for the hosts with 34 points in a narrow 103-101 loss at the Verizon Center.
It was a key win for Indiana as they continue to push on for a playoff spot, while the Wizards continue to slump and have endured a miserable second half of the season.
Meanwhile, Messi was shown on the big screen during the game with Javier Mascherano seemingly seeing something he liked as he appeared quite animated about the whole situation.
As well as attending the game, Messi received a personalised jersey from the Wizards which the NBA shared of an image of their official Instagram account, while Pacers star Paul George got the opportunity to meet the man after the game and he was clearly excited about the possibility of going home and playing FIFA straight after…
