The Premier League champions flew a banner reading: ‘United we fall – in cinemas soon’, which followed the Red Devils’ shock 5-3 defeat to Leicester City earlier in the day.
United fans famously used a plane over Old Trafford before a game against Aston Villa last season to protest against David Moyes’ unsuccessful reign in charge.
Still, the club’s fortunes have not improved under Louis van Gaal this season, with City fans aiming a superb dig at their neighbours.
