Pacquiao preparing for next fight against Algieri in November…
WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao stopped by the Golden State Warriors’ practice facility on Tuesday and played some pick up ball.
The 35-year-old is the head coach of the Kia Sorentos of the Philippine Basketball Association, and while he also plays when possible, it has recently been reported that he is looking to add former NBA star Metta World Peace to his roster.
Pacquiao is an ardent fan of the sport and will likely also be following the FIBA World Cup closely, but with political commitments too, he will be looking to focus on his real calling in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, he took time out of his busy schedule to promote his upcoming fight against Chris Algieri on November 22 to play some basketball on a visit to the Warriors training facility.
Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs), is confident that he will be able to defeat his storied rival later this year, but it is unlikely that Pacquiao will taking things this lightly when he heads into camp to prepare for the bout.
