Duncan continues to produce for San Antonio despite his advanced years, and the five-time NBA champion is already playing a key role in the post-season with some inspiring performances against the Los Angeles Clippers.
While the Spurs lead the series 2-1 after their comprehensive win in Game 3 on Friday night, the victory would have certainly helped raise spirits and allowed the team to be distracted by their leader’s 39th birthday.
Ginobili has been through a lot with Duncan during their time together in San Antonio, with point guard Tony Parker also forming an integral part of coach Gregg Popovich’s success over the years.
However, the end is nearing for ‘The Big Fundamental’ along with Ginobili who recently revealed that he will retire after next season, and so the ageing stars are certainly enjoying themselves this time round.
Although he is seemingly ageless on the court, Ginobili couldn’t help but have a dig at Duncan and share this image on Twitter to wish him a Happy 39th Birthday!
