Peterson has been actively and openly seeking to leave the Vikings after the controversy surrounding his treatment of his 4-year-old son led to an arrest for child abuse. Peterson plead no contest and was given probation, but he was suspended for the entire 2014 NFL season before having the NFL’s suspension overturned by a judge.
A six-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro selection, Peterson is considered by most to be the best RB in the NFL. His 2,097 yards in 2012 earned him NFL MVP honors and was the second highest single-season mark in NFL history.
