The Dallas Mavericks unveiled the team’s new uniforms for the 2015/16 season on Tuesday, with the designs being put forward by the franchise’s fans.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban held a contest for fans to submit ideas for the 2015/16 season, and he unveiled the new alternate uniforms on Tuesday, with Geoff Case putting forward the winning design.
Having been able to get fans involved in the process, it is ultimately a successful venture from Cuban as the uniforms, which feature the Dallas skyline, look slick and will be expected to sell well.
However, while it was undoubtedly a nice idea to bring the team closer to the people that matter most, the uniforms will matter little if the Mavs are unable to achieve success on the court.
With Dirk Nowitzki leading a talented roster that saw Chandler Parsons added to the mix this summer, the Mavericks will be hoping to push on and return to the NBA playoffs next season and attempt to go far in a highly competitive Western Conference.
