Wiggins happy to be in Minnesota after being traded by Cavaliers…
The Minnesota Timberwolves have unveiled their new-look roster which contains some highly exciting talents including Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine.
Following on from the Kevin Love trade deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Timberwolves received Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in return as well as a first-round pick in the 2015 Draft.
Meanwhile, they also acquired Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers who along with LaVine will form part of a young roster that has big expectations.
With point guard Ricky Rubio expected to orchestrate and Nikola Petkovic adding some much needed steel to the team, there is huge excitement surrounding them but it remains to be seen what they can achieve.
Meanwhile, Wiggins insisted that he believes that this is the “best spot for me” after reiterating his desire to play for a team that wanted him, and that was clearly not the case in Cleveland who used him as a bargaining chip in Love discussions.
Nevertheless, he is looking forward to his future in Minnesota and the franchise will be hoping that the number of young talents at coach Flip Saunders’ disposal next season can explode and prove their worth in the league.
