The players were in Australia’s capital city for a friendly match with Canberra NPL All-Stars and paid a visit to St John the Apostle Primary School prior to the match.
Armed with pens and books the excitable gaggle of young boys and girls went in search of autographs and pictures with their idols to commemorate an occasion that could possibly be described as once in a lifetime for the youngsters.
Very small side-note: Gary van Egmond’s side strolled to a comfortable 3-0 victory in the pre-season match with Craig Goodwin, Ruben Zadkovich and Rhys Cooper at McKellar Park.
