Man Utd striker’s Netherlands goal recreated in cool graffiti. Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has tweeted a picture of his famous goal for the Netherlands against Spain at this summer’s World Cup.
In what was undoubtedly one of the moments of the tournament, the Dutchman latched onto a long ball from team-mate Daley Blind to net a superb equaliser against Spain in their opening game, in what turned out to be a shock 5-1 victory for the Oranje.
This memorable strike has now been recreated in street art on a wall in Brazil, and van Persie was sure to compliment the artist on their work.
Im very honoured with this art piece in Brazil. Proud to be decorating a wall in Rio. Compliments to the artist!! pic.twitter.com/R92UytWZAr
