The Brazilian superstar has been linked with the potential MLS new boys yet again, as Twellman lets a tweet slip by mistake.
As if Orlando City SC fans didn’t have enough to be excited about already, MLS’ newest potential side have been further linked with the signing of Brazilian superstar Kaka.
Former USA international and New England Revolution striker Taylor Twellman, now working as an analyst for ESPN sent a tweet out on Friday afternoon suggesting Kaka has already agreed to sign for Orlando City.
The tweet read: “After meetings in NY with @MLS yesterday I’m just waiting for @OrlandoCitySC and @OCPres to announce Kaka as their DP for inaugural season!”
For whatever reason, Twellman swiftly deleted the tweet before sending out the following tweet instead:
I fully expect @OrlandoCitySC and @OCPres to introduce Kaka as their 1st DP signing when they announce their @MLS plans. #predictionTT

A little less concrete, but a strong suggestion nonetheless.
Credence to this ‘prediction’ is lent by a quote from Orlando City president Phil Rawlins, who earlier in August said that the club will sign “the Brazilian Beckham”.
When this statement is combined with the fact that Orlando City’s owner Flavio Augusto da Silva is a personal friend of Kaka, there is little doubt that the former Ballon D’Or winner is a target of the Floridian club.
What’s more, on August 29th Kaka announced that he wished to leave Real Madrid. Whilst Orlando City, should they be granted MLS status, would not enter the league until 2015, leaving Madrid now would at least afford Kaka the luxury of signing a contract tailored for his hypothetical departure to America.
