As expected, disgruntled Man United fans staged a fly-by protest against under-fire boss David Moyes, with a banner over Old Trafford reading ‘Wrong One – Moyes Out’ during this afternoon’s match against Aston Villa.

The plane was greeted by boos from Manchester United fans inside the stadium and was generally derided by fans and pundits on social media.

Moyes was asked about the banner pre-match and appeared calm, stating:  “I think they would have been better off putting the money into Darren Fletcher’s charity.”
