3) Tom Brady
A year ago the two-time NFL MVP probably never would have been on this list, but in the aftermath of Deflategate the majority of the sporting world has come to view Brady as an arrogant cheater who isn’t above bending the rules and covering his tracks in order to gain a competitive edge.
Brady’s obsession with winning has made him one of the greatest winners in NFL history – he owns almost every record relating to winning in NFL history – and he has arguably the most attractive wife in NFL history (who allegedly makes more money as a model than the tens of millions he makes per year). Nonetheless, the NFL was not afraid to lay down a four-game suspension on Brady when it was determined that he was “at least generally aware” that members of the Patriots staff were illegally deflating footballs below the NFL regulations in order to gain an edge in the 2015 AFC Championship game.
Even in the face of significant (circumstantial) evidence and throughout the entire investigation process, Brady never acknowledged having any role in the events and refused to give over any phone records.
