Match between Kelantan and Tampines Rovers won’t go ahead as planned on August 12.
The inaugural FAM-FAS Club Championship match between Kelantan FA and Tampines Rovers has been postponed.
President of the Red Warriors, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, confirmed via his personal Facebook page on Sunday that the clash between Malaysia’s and Singapore’s league and cup champions would not be going ahead.
“Tampines Rovers not able to come on 12/8… a match will take place between Charity Shield winner ATM and FA Cup TRW (The Red Warriors) on August 14 at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, Kota Bharu,” the post read.
“Free tickets will be given out at the launch of TWR Wira Comic on August 10 at an open house in Seri Puri Bukit Marak or it can be taken at the stadium on matchday.”
The one-off game was organised by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in July and it’s cancellation could have a knock-on effect for other fixtures planned in the days afterward.
Singapore Cup champions Warriors FC were set to take on cup runners-up ATM FA at the Jalan Besar Stadium on August 13 but that could yet be mothballed as Kelantan are scheduled to meet the Red Warriors a day later.
