Defending champions will also take on hosts Nepal and Bangladesh in Group A.
India will begin their defence of the South Asian Football Federation Cup against arch rivals Pakistan, NDTV report.
The eight-time winners and current holders of the Championship will renew rivalries with the Green Shirts at the Dashrath Stadium on the tournament’s opening day after they were drawn together in Group A on Tuesday.
After that they will come up against host nation Nepal, who reached the semi-final in 2011, and Bangladesh with Wim Koevermans’ side expected to reach the knock-out phase with relative ease.
The Blue Tigers, who are the second highest ranked team in the tournament at 146th, will be relieved to have avoided Afghanistan or Maldives having contested just four international matches in 2013 and will play just one friendly against Tajikistan on August 14 before the big kick-off.
