Wolves ended the scrappy encounter with 10 men, having lost Ryan Leak for his role in conceding the game’s first spot kick.
They could have finished with nine, after one of their defenders – already on a yellow card – pushed Dhanda as he prepared to take his second spot kick.
The first pen was won by Bobby Adekanye, who was making his first start for Liverpool’s U18s following his summer transfer from Barcelona.
