Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel’s stint as their starter in 2014 looks like it will be short-lived as he is heading to the locker room after taking a brutal hit against the Carolina Panthers.
The injury is unknown, but Brian Hoyer is stepping in as the starting quarterback once again, and he may do so for the remainder of the season since there is only one game left after this game.
Manziel struggled mightily in his starting debut, so this will present another obstacle for the young quarterback.
SportsCenter gave an update on Manziel’s injury on Twitter.
DEVELOPING: Johnny Manziel taken to locker room with undisclosed injury. Brian Hoyer in at QB for Browns.

UPDATE: FOX Sports NFL insider Mike Garafolo has reported that Manziel has a hamstring injury.
Browns saying Manziel out with a hamstring injury. Was tough to see when it occurred on that play. Maybe on that lunge/duck.
