The Dallas Cowboys will be without injured RT Doug Free for likely three to four weeks, according to owner Jerry Jones.
Jones, speaking with KRLD-FM in Dallas on Tuesday, told the radio station that there is a “fracture” in Free’s injured foot
The Cowboys’ offensive line and revamped defense have fueled their 5-1 start and kept DeMarco Murray happy. In the meantime, backup Jermey Parnell will need to step up and continue some strong play up front.
Free, a 4th round pick by the Cowboys in the 2007 NFL draft, has started 77 consecutive games at offensive tackle since taking over the role in 2008. With Pro Bowl LT Tyron Smith and star RG Zach Martin playing at a high level, the Cowboys need all the consistency they can find if they want to make a run at the NFC East division title.
