Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball has missed the majority of the season with a groin injury, and he had undergone appendectomy surgery before the season started.
Ball entered the 2014 season with expectations of being the clear No. 1 running back in Denver, which is why the Broncos let Knowshon Moreno walk in free agency.
However, Ball has been a disappointment this season although running backs such as Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson have stepped up in his absence.
The Broncos have decided to place Ball on injured reserve to let him heal fully from his injury, which he had aggravated after returning six weeks later.
Here is a tweet from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reporting on the Broncos’ latest transaction.
