The Denver Broncos were upset, 22-7, by the St. Louis Rams while they endured major injuries on offense. Running back Montee Ball aggravated his groin injury, and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders sustained a concussion while tight end Julius Thomas hurt his ankle.
However, the Broncos may be catching a huge break as Thomas’ ankle injury is not expected to be serious. Thomas is a key piece of the Broncos offense, and he already has 12 touchdown catches this season.
Quarterback Peyton Manning is facing the most adversity he has faced injury-wise since the 2010 season when he was forced to throw to weapons such as wide receiver Blair White and tight end Jacob Tamme.
Here is a tweet from ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen updating on the Broncos tight end’s injury.
Broncos do not sound overly concerned about Julius Thomas ankle. Calling him “day to day” as of now.
