The Denver Broncos were demolished by the New England Patriots, 43-21, and wide receiver Wes Welker had a bad day against his former team.
The Broncos receiver had his hands on a pass that was thrown to him, but he dropped it before it was intercepted by Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner.
Welker took a hard hit to his back during that play, and he was taken out of the game as a result. Fortunately, head coach John Fox announced that Welker will be day-to-day.
Here is a tweet from Pro Football Talk providing an update on Welker’s health.
