The Green Bay Packers are riding a four-game winning streak, and they will look to make it five on Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints.
However, they will likely have to do so without starting cornerback Sam Shields once again. He had sustained a knee injury in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins before sitting out last week against the Carolina Panthers.
The Packers defense performed well without him against the Panthers, but the Saints will provide an even bigger test as they will be at home, where they are 2-0. They are also desperately seeking a season-saving win as they are 2-4.
Here is a tweet from the Pro Football Talk Twitter account updating the cornerback’s injury status.
