No. 15 Nebraska leads Purdue, 21-7, as halftime draws near. However, they received a stroke of bad luck as Heisman hopeful running back Ameer Abdullah left the game with a knee injury.
Abdullah will not return to the game, and since it is a knee injury, this may be serious and bad news for the Cornhuskers offense.
If the injury is severe, the Cornhuskers will likely lose hope at contending for a Big Ten championship although they will be 8-1 if they beat Purdue.
Here is a tweet from Bleacher Report releasing this unfortunate news for Nebraska fans.
