The New York Giants have lost WR Victor Cruz for an unspecified period of time after he tore his patellar tendon during a play against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While going up to catch what should have been an easy touchdown catch on 4th down and goal, Cruz planted his leg and dropped the ball while grasping his leg in agony.

Cruz has led the Giants in receiving yards in each of the last four seasons since getting a starting job in 2011. He made the Pro Bowl in 2012 after scoring 10 TDs.
The Giants lost the game to the Eagles 27-0, being shut out for the third time since 2013 against the Carolina Panthers and the Seattle Seahawks.
