Diaby has been ravaged by injury in the eight season that he has spent at Arsenal, having picked up numerous and varied problems that have left his career hanging in the balance – but Wenger has confirmed that Diaby is set to feature against Southampton after coming through 90 minutes in an Under 21 game against Aston Villa last week.
The 28 year-old is likely to be one of a number of changes for Arsenal as they face Ronald Koeman’s high flying Saints, with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Joel Campbell also set to be given a chance.
