The Tennessee Titans are having a nightmare of a 2014 season as they hold a 2-11 record, and their offensive line has had its share of struggles as well.
Tackle Michael Oher has been placed on injured reserve, depleting their depth even more. Oher, who is known as the central character in The Blind Side, has missed the last two games with a toe injury.
The Titans have decided to shut him down for the rest of the season, but he had struggled throughout the season and was ranked 74th out of 78 NFL tackles, according to Pro Football Focus.
Oher had signed a four-year contract worth $20 million in the 2014 offseason, and $9.5 million of that is guaranteed. However, he may be cut by the Titans after just one season with the team.
The Titans’ decision to draft tackle Taylor Lewan with the 11th overall pick may suddenly seem like a logical decision after it was widely criticized by draft experts.
