Washington pass rushing LB Brian Orakpo is done for the year after suffering a torn pectoral injury which will require season-ending surgery.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that this is Orakpo’s 2nd injury of the same nature, but on a different pectoral than the one he tore previously.
Previously, Brian Orakpo tore his left pectoral muscle. This year, it’s his right one. Same result, though. Out for the season. #Redskins

Orakpo is a 3-time Pro Bowler who made an incredible comeback in 2013, recording 10.0 sacks and an INT-TD. He also had two fumble recoveries and 60 tackles en route to a Pro Bowl selection. The injury could also mark the end of Orakpo’s tenure in Washington. He is currently on a one-year deal and Washington may not have enough cap space or eagerness to bring back a player coming off two season ending injuries in the last three seasons.
Not sure. But he’s headed to IR now RT @TheRealPatMoore: @RapSheet Orakpo has now played his last game as a Redskin
