Best bowler – Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin is one of the major reasons why CSK got their hands on the IPL Trophy twice. The tall right-arm offbreak bowler from Chennai was a complete revelation in the third edition of the Indian Premier League.
Ashwin managed to cement his place in the CSK lineup with some miserly spells with the new ball. After an impressive 2010 IPL season, Ashwin was duly rewarded with a place in the Indian squad for the ICC World T20 Championships.
He has never looked back since then and is now a vital cog in India’s bowing attack in all formats of the game. Always looking to add variety in his bowling, Ashwin can be a force to reckon with, especially in limited overs cricket.
Ashwin always has a knack of picking up a wicket to break a partnership and also maintains great control, with his IPL career economy rate at the amazing 6.34, with the pressure either creating wickets for himself or bowlers at the other end.
